Will Social Bookmarking really enhance my web experience?

The more that I am on the web, the more clear it has become that social bookmarking will indeed be more efficient than just going to a search engine to look up desired web information. A search engine, by itself, is not always the best and most efficient way to locate desired information. Social bookmarking allows one to look at what other cyber-space explorers are looking at on a desired subject, and from there have a better vision on what avenues to take to get to site to get answers. Social bookmarking opens up a vast display of resources one can hook in to.
My big question, regarding social bookmarking, is, how efficient will it be as a math teacher to gain insight into what other math instructors or searching for and using in regards to web base information?
